On Monday, November 30th, an international exchange session took place between a group of second-year design students from the School of Design and the University of the Republic of Uruguay (UdelaR). This synchronous virtual session was organized as part of the Design Studies class “How People Work,” which provides an introduction to the practice and principles of human-centered design.
A live performance of Toru Takemitsu's Rocking Mirror Daybreak was performed in conjunction with Weingart's motion design video at AIGA Centennial Celebration of Music and Design at the New World Symphony in Miami, Florida.
In late May, Professor Kristin Hughes traveled to Wuxi, China to participate in the "Re-Design Design Education" conference. This was the first of a six-year series of events aimed at reforming Chinese design education, sponsored by the Chinese government.
