Design Alumna Bakes Up Success with Fikabröd

Vill du fika? That’s the question you’ll ask every month when your Fikabröd box arrives at your door.  Fikabröd, a curated subscription box of gourmet ingredients & unique goodies for the baking obsessed, launched in 2019 and is the creation of Becky Clutter, an Alumna of Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Design (BFA ’04).

Congratulations to our outstanding students who made the College of Fine Arts Dean's List for Fall 2019. The criteria for the dean's list is the top one-third of QPAs in each school within CFA.

Design Students Take Part in MIT Reality Hack Competition

On January 16, a team of students from Carnegie Mellon University took part in MIT Media Lab’s Mixed Reality Hackathon. MIT Reality Hack is a 5 day event held every January that comprises of thought leaders, brand mentors and creators, participants, students, and technology lovers to come together and attend tech workshops, talks, discussions, fireside chats, collaborations, hacking, and more.

Design Alumna Launches Conscience Form

Lauren Zemering, an alumna from Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Design (BFA ’17), recently launched Conscience Form, a design firm dedicated to socially responsible design. Based in Amsterdam, Conscience Form operates on the belief that through designing responsibly, in seeing the world holistically, and by tackling problems empathetically, they believe they can create a future in which the living world and material world complement each other, and one in which people are happy and healthy.
