Student Project Troika Featured on Medium

A team of Master’s Students from Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Design were recently highlighted by Medium when their article, ‘How Might We Help People Become Better-informed Citizens?,’ was listed as a featured story on the website. The article documents the development of “Project Troika,” a framework of news aggregators. “Team Troika” consists of four current Master of Design students Jisoo Shon, Michelle Chou, Ranu Karanpuria, Sanika Sahasrabuddahe.

Students Release Booklet on Introduction to Systems Thinking

Students from the School of Design recently released a booklet detailing the work they did in their course “Introduction to Systems Thinking.” The course, co-taught by PhD Candidates Sofía Bosch Gomez and Francis Carter, leads students through a range of different approaches and methods to analyzing and describing complex human phenomenon, teaches them specific systems thinking techniques and terminologies for systems analysis, and making changes that they can assess for their impacts to those phenomena.
