Communicative Shapes

Rachel Glasser

Everyone in the class was assigned an intersection in Pittsburgh to visit and photograph. Using one of these photos as a guide, we cut paper to represent the different objects at our intersection and arranged them to give an impression of depth. We first did this with only white paper, but eventually used different tones of gray and one color. The goal was to clearly communicate the atmosphere of our intersections while also thinking about composition.
