Please join us for another edition of our Design Lecture Series with Apple Software Engineer and Artist, Max Hawkins.

Max is an artist and software engineer at Apple in Cupertino, working on FaceTime. He is also the founder of Dialup, a serendipitous voice-chat app that connects strangers around the world in one-on-one conversations once a week. In his “Randomized Living” project, Max let a computer algorithm make all of his decisions including where to live, what to wear, who to talk to, and what to eat over a period of two years. This sent him around the world—from a bar in rural Iowa to a cat cafe in Taipei, Taiwan. Max graduated from Carnegie Mellon with a BXA in 2013. maxhawkins.me
