Submitting
The Emergence 2007 program will feature technical papers, a poster and multi-media session, panels and invited talks, discussion sessions and workshops.
We are currently accepting original presentations of commercial and social case studies, academic projects, and other explorations that touch on the definition, processes, and implementation of service design. Submissions will be judged on appropriateness, originality, and craft.
Service Design Themes
The conference will aim to explore a broad range of service design topics, including:
- How technology can aide in the creation of innovative services
- How services drive the need for new technology
- Role of design language and design aesthetics in services
- Services that encourage ecologically sustainable behavior
- Cultural challenges and initiatives surrounding the design of services in the developing world
- User-centered business strategies as they relate to service design
- How service design is pushing innovation in the field of industrial design
